When I was reading Jeremiah 26–29, one theme stood out to me: courage. Jeremiah spoke exactly what God told him, but people didn’t want to hear it. Instead, false prophets rose up with words that sounded more appealing—short-term comfort, quick promises, easy hope.
That challenged me, because I know how tempting it can be to nod along with what feels easier instead of holding to the harder truth God has already spoken.
Following God Means Faith Over Comfort
It’s not always comfortable to walk with God. Sometimes being faithful means standing in the minority, even when people misunderstand or push back. That’s when trust becomes essential—trusting that God’s Word is steady, even if it doesn’t match what I want to hear or what the world is saying.
Anchored in His Word
The takeaway for me is simple but powerful: I don’t have to have all the answers. What I do need is to stay anchored in God’s Word. At the end of the day, His truth always stands—even if it takes time to see it play out.
A Question for You
When you face voices that oppose God’s truth—whether it’s culture, people around you, or even your own doubts—do you have the courage to stand firm in what He’s said, even if it’s unpopular?
